Whitening Spot Correction Serum, the pigmentation process - melanin pigments are responsible for the color of skin. Skin pigmentation involves melanocytes, skin cells that produce melanin, and keratinocytes skin cells that control this production.

Melanin is made from an amino acid, tyrosine, in the presence of an enzyme, tyrosinase, from several complex chain reactions. These take place in melanosomes.

When they are full of melanin pigments, melanosomes are transferred to neighboring keratinocytes which make the pigments migrate to the corneal layer during their rise in the epidermis.

Develped by Phytomer Laboratoris, the marine SeaWhite Complex is a highly effective pigment regulating seaweed extract from Ascophyllum nodosum. It is unoque because it acts:

- before the melanin formation and distribution process by inhibiting tyrosinase 70%.

- The Sea White Complex acts by blocking the action of alpha - MSH  to its cellular receptor.

Without the Sea White Complex synthesis of melanin due to active tyrosinase and  factors produced by the keratinocyte (alpha-MSH and ET).
